My Story
As I enter a new phase of life, I have shifted my approach from pursuing quantity or expansion to consciously choosing what, who, and how I engage with, based on the foundation of my past experiences.
Today, I place greater value on dialogue that aligns with the phases of life and business, rather than speed or scale, and on creating long-term meaningful value. I limit the number of projects I engage in and emphasize relationships grounded in trust and mutual understanding.
One expression that embodies this approach is “My Birdfish.”It is about pausing, reclaiming space for reflection, and quietly listening to one’s inner senses. This small story reflects my current values and perspective.
From this standpoint, I am particularly interested in Japanese technology, culture, and craftsmanship that carry long-term value, and I engage carefully with a select number of projects.
My focus is on fostering quiet, sincere dialogues that connect Japan and the world, which serve as the core of my ongoing activities.
Short Biography
I have over 35 years of experience in international finance and family office advisory.
I began my career at Ernst & Young, where I spent nearly 20 years as Head of the Japan Desk in Zurich, providing comprehensive support from an international perspective to Japanese multinational companies, business owners, executives, and their families.
Subsequently, in Switzerland and Japan, I have been engaged in advisory work covering family office services, wealth preservation, succession planning, taxation, and governance.
I have served as a director on seven boards to date.
Currently, I focus on selective, dialogue-driven advisory and investment activities, aligned with the phases of life and business.

About the book
In the midst of our busy lives, there are moments when we long, even if only for an instant,to return to a quiet, inner place.
“My Birdfish” is a gentle picture book for adults who feel this way.
Between the sea and the sky—
living between freedom and belonging, memory and what lies ahead—
the story of the small, mysterious creature called the “Birdfish”invites readers to pause and experience a moment of reflection.
This is not a typical children’s picture book.
It is a contemplative visual story for adults who have lived with questions in their hearts, who have loved, lost, and waited, and who have quietly wondered,
“Who am I becoming?”
Rather than providing answers, this story leaves space. It creates room for readers’ own memories, emotions, and life experiencesto naturally resonate with the narrative.
The Birdfish, sometimes fragile, sometimes brave, gently reminds us of forgotten dreams, unspoken wishes, and the “small inner light” that remains even when life feels heavy.
Words are kept to a minimum, arranged with a meditative stillness, and are accompanied by delicate illustrations that emphasize silence, movement, and the lingering emotions rather than literal explanations.
“My Birdfish” is a book to be read slowly, revisited again and again, and gifted with care to someone dear. It is perfect for moments of transition,
when one wishes to pause, or as a present for someone embarking on a new beginning.
The book is available in Japanese, English, and German, conveying a universal sense of quiet and inner clarity beyond language.
Even amid busy days, the small light quietly returns. This story gently reminds us of that truth.
